Terms of Service

By using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read carefully.

If a dispute arises, we aim for respectful resolution before any formal steps.

Definitions: “We”, “us”, and “our” mean HiveCio Clean. “You” and “your” mean the person or entity purchasing cleaning services. “Premises” refers to the property where services are performed. “Appointment” refers to a scheduled cleaning service session.

Service use: Our services are intended only for lawful purposes. You agree not to misuse our personnel or materials, and not to request tasks outside of safety or legal boundaries. We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or discontinue any service where safety or practicality is compromised.

Scheduling and changes: Standard appointment windows are provided at booking. We may adjust time windows due to traffic, weather, staffing, or unforeseen circumstances. You will be notified as early as possible of changes. If you need to reschedule, provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid fees.

Cancellations and lockouts: Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice or lockouts (including inaccessible Premises) may incur a fee up to the lesser of the booked service price or a flat administrative fee designed to cover wages and travel. Repeated late cancellations may require prepayment for future bookings.

Pricing and taxes: All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Applicable taxes are charged based on the service location’s provincial requirements. Quotes are estimates based on typical conditions and may be adjusted if actual conditions require additional time or materials.

Payment terms: Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major cards and other payment methods as offered at booking. Invoices not paid when due may incur a reasonable late fee and interest as permitted by local law. Chargebacks without prior good-faith communication may be referred to collections.

Satisfaction guarantee: If you are not satisfied, contact us within 48 hours of service with photos and details. We will arrange a complimentary re-clean of the specific areas in question within a reasonable timeframe. This guarantee does not cover normal wear, permanent stains, or issues outside scope (e.g., restoration, repair, or specialized remediation).

Supplies and equipment: We use professional-grade supplies and equipment. If you provide your own supplies, you assume responsibility for their suitability and any adverse effects. Certain tasks may require specialized equipment or additional fees.

Exclusions: We do not perform tasks involving ladders beyond safe height limits, heavy lifting beyond safe handling, moving large appliances/furniture, or handling hazardous materials. We also do not wash exterior windows above the first floor without proper equipment and conditions.

Breakage and damage: We exercise care, but incidental damage can occur. Report any concerns within 48 hours. Our liability is limited to repair or replacement cost up to the applicable policy limit and excludes pre-existing damage, normal wear, items of extraordinary value, and consequential loss.

Privacy: We handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We limit access to your information to personnel who need it to perform services and for legitimate business purposes. Refer to our privacy practices in the footer for more details when available.

Photos and reviews: With your permission, we may take anonymized “before and after” photos for quality control or marketing. You may withdraw permission at any time. Honest reviews are welcome; we may publicly respond to clarify factual issues while respecting privacy.

No warranties: Except as expressly stated, services are provided “as-is” and “as-available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific appointment giving rise to the claim or the amount recoverable under our insurance, whichever is greater.

Indemnity: You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your breach of these terms, misuse of the services, or failure to provide a safe environment for service delivery, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Force majeure: We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, public emergencies, supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, or utility outages.

Governing law and venue: These terms are governed by the laws of the province where services are rendered and applicable federal laws of Canada. Venue for disputes shall be the courts within that province, unless otherwise required by consumer protection laws.

Dispute resolution: We prefer to resolve issues amicably. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, the parties may agree to mediation before litigation. Nothing prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief.

Changes to terms: We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted with a new effective date. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. No waiver of any term constitutes a further or continuing waiver of such term.

Entire agreement: These terms, together with any service-specific statements of work or confirmations, constitute the entire agreement and supersede prior discussions regarding the subject matter.
